Operating modes

Selmo defines operating modes for clear operability. In principle, these operating modes are defined at a higher level in the entire system.

Manual mode allows actuators to be moved or switched via manual control buttons.

Automatic mode is the operating mode in which the sequences run automatically as logically defined.

The start of a sequence may only be possible if all corresponding safety functions, as defined under personal safety, are in the correct position and ready for operation.

The only exception is when safety functions are suspended for adjustment or maintenance purposes. Then the operating modes must be deactivated and operation may only be carried out using appropriate enabling devices or reduced speeds.
